By using the Coffee meets Alcohol app or website (“Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be of legal drinking age in your country or region to use the Service.
2. The Service
Coffee meets Alcohol is a personal tasting journal and place tracker. Depending on the version you use, you can:
- Scan coffee and drink labels with AI and save tasting notes
- Log brews, recipes, timers, gear, and a drink collection
- Explore origins on a map and track cafés, bars, and other places you visit (including optional location attach and curated recommendations)
- Share tasting or brew cards from your device
- Use optional Pro features such as unlimited scans, multi-photo labels, product introductions, and market-price lookups
Features may change over time.
3. Your account and content
You are responsible for your account and for content you add (photos, notes, venues, gear, and other records). You keep ownership of your content. We may use it only to run the Service for you. You can delete your account in the app Settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
4. Location and maps
Location access is optional. If you grant it, you can attach a place to a scan or brew, find nearby venues, or see your position on the map. We do not require background location tracking. Map and place lookups may use third-party services described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid Pro subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Renewals and cancellations are managed in your Apple or Google account. Refunds follow the store’s policies.
6. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and for personal use. Do not misuse the app, attempt to break security, scrape or abuse AI or map lookups, or promote underage drinking or illegal activity.
7. No advice
The Service does not provide medical, health, financial, or drinking advice. Product details, prices, introductions, and venue information may be incomplete or incorrect. Drink responsibly and follow the law where you live.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
